About
Software for one kind of business
SmartGroom is pet grooming software for independent groomers, solo groomers, home-based groomers and small grooming salons. That list is the whole audience, deliberately.
Most grooming platforms are built to grow with a business: one groomer, then a salon, then several locations. Serving that whole range means carrying features for the largest customer and charging everyone for them. SmartGroom takes the other approach.
The pricing decision
Why we sell it once
A subscription makes sense for software that has to keep changing. Enterprise platforms genuinely do — new integrations, new compliance requirements, new reporting for businesses that keep getting bigger.
The core of an independent groomer's software does not change much. Take a booking, hold a card, store the pet, send a reminder, ask for a review. That set has been stable for years and will be stable for years more. Charging monthly rent for it is a business model decision, not a technical necessity.
So SmartGroom is a one-time software purchase: $599 for the first 20 salons, $799 afterward. What we will not claim is that this means no ongoing costs. SMS usage, hosting and domain registration are real and are billed separately. The accurate version is narrower and duller: no recurring software subscription from us.

And who it isn't
Saying this plainly costs us some sales and saves other people a bad purchase. That trade is worth making.

If the right column describes you, an enterprise-oriented platform will serve you better. Compare the options rather than taking our word for it.
How we write
Claims you won't find on this site
Software marketing runs on numbers nobody can check. We have taken those off the table, which makes the copy plainer and the claims verifiable.
No invented statistics
No no-show reduction percentages, no revenue claims, no time-saved figures, no SMS open rates. If we cannot source it, it does not appear.
No testimonials we did not receive
No stock-photo groomers with invented quotes, no star ratings, no customer counts, no awards. When there are real reviews, they will be real.
No guessed competitor data
Comparison pages use each provider's own published positioning. Where we have not verified something, the table says "check current provider" instead of filling the gap.
No attacks on competitors
MoeGo, Pawfinity, PetLinx and the rest are decent products serving real businesses. Our comparison pages say when they are the better choice, because sometimes they are.
No fake urgency
The $599 launch price covers the first 20 salons and then becomes $799. That is a real limit, stated once, with no countdown clock attached to it.
Your data
Leaving stays possible
The list of people who trust you with their dog is the most valuable thing your business owns. It should not be an asset held by a software company.
SmartGroom supports exporting client, pet and booking information. That means you can leave, which is the only version of data ownership that means anything.
